RPL for Credit Exemption for WDC’s Executive MBA
RPL Eligibility:
Applications seeking credit exemption for WDC’s Executive MBA must meet the following criteria:
Possess at least 10 years of work experience in a major leadership position (for criteria see below).
Be referred by a Senior Executive within their organization, a Board Member of their company, or another Professional who is familiar with their role and responsibilities and can provide a detailed firsthand account.
RPL Requirements:
Applicants should be provided with a list of ILOs and key concepts/topics for the course(s) for which they seek exemption.
Applicants should submit an Experiential Learning Portfolio (ELP) that specifically addresses each ILO and concept/topic.
Mandatory Requirements :
Resume/CV: Outlining Work History, Achievements, and Leadership Experience
Letters of Recommendation (2-3)- From Supervisors and Colleagues familiar with applicant's skills and expertise in relevant areas.
Work-Related Projects: Evidence of Project showcasing a deep understanding of foundational business concepts.
Training and Development Programs: Evidence of any formal training or development programs the applicant has given or completed, particularly those that cover foundational MBA or business concepts.
As Academic Transcripts and Degrees: Applicants should provide transcripts from all previous academic degrees.
Professional Achievements: Outline specific professional achievements that demonstrate the application of foundational business principles in a practical setting.
Statement of Purpose (approx. 500 words): The applicant should provide a well-articulated statement explaining why they believe they should be exempt from specific foundational courses, providing a narrative that ties together their professional experience and existing knowledge.
Optional Requirements :
Professional Certifications: Demonstrating proficiency in foundational areas (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA, MITx MicroMasters, CORe, edX, MBA Math).
Publications or Thought Leadership: When possible, applicants should include any publications, articles, or thought leadership pieces they have authored that showcase their expertise in foundational business areas.
Examinations or Assessments: Scores for any standardized examinations (GRE, GMAT, etc.) or other proficiency exams or assessments in the foundational subject areas to demonstrate their existing knowledge.
Woolf may conduct interviews or meetings with applicants to further assess their qualifications and understanding of foundational business concepts. Credit by Examination may be considered to supplement the ELP in cases where the applicant may not be able to provide sufficient evidence
